Geeky Gadgets said Panasonic plans to upgrade the Firefox OS for the DX series ultra high definition TVs later this year. The upgraded Firefox OS will provide users with new ways to discover Web applications and save them on the TV. Firefox OS will include web content optimized for televisions, such as games, news, on-demand videos, weather information, and more. Users will also be able to enjoy the "click to watch" content discovery experience that does not require the installation of applications.

Panasonic's DX series of ultra-high definition TVs running Firefox OS will also receive new features that will provide a seamless Firefox experience on multiple platforms. The new "send to TV" feature allows users to easily share the Firefox Web content on their Android Firefox OS TV.
