2. HDMI cable is expensive, and HDBaseT uses a cheap and easy-to-use CAT5/6 Ethernet cable as the transmission medium.
3. HDMI is a closed standard. Vendors use the HDMI interface to pay a certain license fee, while HDBaseT is an open standard and does not require additional fees.
4. The HDBaseT standard currently supports a maximum transmission rate of 20Gb/s, which is four times the maximum transmission rate of HDMI of 5Gb/s, and can fully satisfy all uncompressed 1080p or more clear 4K x 2K video transmission.
The HDBaseT Alliance rejoined InfoComm China 2014 in Beijing this year to consolidate the development of HDBaseT technology in China and introduce more products that support HDBaseT technology. With the industry's recognition of HDBaseT technology, the number of members of the HDBaseT Alliance has doubled compared to last year, and now there are 92 members.
