On August 25, 2008, Matsushita Electric Co., Ltd. launched two types of LED lighting fixtures, including white and bulb color, which are not easy to attract insects. Since the LED contains almost no light of ultraviolet light that is easy to attract, it means that the insect attracting index of light irradiation is reduced to 1/3 of that of the mercury fluorescent lamp. Moreover, it has the same brightness as the company's small halogen lamp type 100 (65W) floodlight, but consumes only 24.3W, which is about 63% lower. Can be used for bridges and building walls as well as billboard lighting.
In terms of luminous flux, the white model is 970 lm and the bulb color model is 800 lm. The life (up to 70% below the initial brightness) is 40,000 hours and maintenance is not required for about 10 years. The dimensions are 360mm263mm67mm and are equipped with 27 LEDs. The color of the lamp housing is available in 2 colors of metallic ash and cool white.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price is 262,500 yen. The sales target for 2009 is 1,200 units.
