The partners of Great Wall Development include Epistar JV Holding (BVI) Co., Ltd., Yiguanjing (Fujian) Photoelectric Co., Ltd. and Country Lighting (BVI) Co., Ltd., and Great Wall Development will be with them in China. Established a joint venture company to jointly invest in the construction of LED industrialization projects, and engaged in research and development, production and sales of high-brightness LED epitaxial wafers, chips, LED light source modules, light sources and lamps.
It is understood that the joint venture company's total investment is 160 million US dollars, the registered capital is 120 million US dollars, and Great Wall Development accounts for 44% of the joint venture's total share capital, making it the largest shareholder. Epistar holds a 40% stake in the joint venture and is the second largest shareholder. In addition, the joint venture company has established a management shareholding in terms of talents, laying a good foundation for the stability of the joint venture company and the introduction of new talents.
After the above projects are put into production, it can form an annual production capacity of 720,000 high-brightness GaN blue epitaxial wafers, 4.6 billion backlight chips, and 390 million illumination chips. Great Wall Development said that it will strive to build the joint venture company into an important industrial base of LED epitaxial wafers and chips to LED light sources with certain independent intellectual property rights and core technologies, and vertically integrated in 3-5 years. The national semiconductor lighting (LED) industry chain plays an active role in the process.
Among the above three cooperative companies, Epistar is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jingyuan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Jingyuan Optoelectronics is the world's largest LED upstream manufacturing plant, listed in Taiwan; Yiguanjing is currently 100% indirectly held by Yiguang Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. Shares, Yiguang Electronics is Taiwan's largest packaging factory, listed in Taiwan.
