Japanese test IT energy-saving system to cope with high office lighting consumption

According to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun website, 40 private companies, research institutes and universities in Japan will jointly conduct a trial in Tokyo in October this year, with the goal of developing a new system within three years. The electricity consumption of the site is cut in half.

According to the report, the trial will eliminate the current unified management mode of waste in lighting and air conditioning. Based on IT technology, it will provide the most suitable brightness and temperature environment according to the different needs of each staff member in the office. .

According to reports, the trial will be conducted in several office buildings in the center of Tokyo owned by Mitsubishi Estate and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Famous companies such as Hitachi, Mitsui & Co., Matsushita Electric Works, and Tokyo Electric Power will participate, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's new energy industry technology development organization will also provide support for this test.

According to the report, Japanese office buildings have always been large consumers of electricity, but the effects of various energy-saving measures are not significant. If this test can successfully develop an efficient energy-saving system, the power consumption of office space will be greatly reduced, thus making a significant contribution to Japan's carbon dioxide emission reduction.
