Talk about the parameter setting of the inverter

The parameter setting of the inverter is very important in the debugging process. Many users who use the inverter for the first time, because they do not fully understand the meaning of these parameters, plus the listed setting parameters are more, they are at a loss as to how to set many parameters of the inverter. For these users, you need to master the basic knowledge of the inverter parameter settings: which parameters need to be set before the trial run; which parameters need to be adjusted during operation and the appropriate range of adjustment; how to prevent the frequency conversion caused by improper parameter settings The damage of the device and so on.

Luo Sheng Company has been a technical service provider for frequency inverters for more than ten years and has experienced in parameter setting of frequency converters. The author interviewed Zhou Gong, who worked in the frequency converter product department for five years. He introduced several converters in detail. Parameters and parameter definitions also demonstrate the method of commissioning the frequency converter parameters. According to Zhou Gong's introduction, the inverter's parameters will be different because of different brands and series. However, no matter what brand and series of inverters, there are some setting parameters that are the same.

The author asked: Look at the inverter samples, such as LENZE's smd series, with more than 30 parameters. Do these parameters need to be reset by the user?

Zhou Gong introduced: Not all inverter parameters need to be reset. Under normal circumstances, we divide the parameters of the inverter into three types: first, there is no need to adjust the parameters that can maintain the factory settings; second, it needs to be pre-tested The set parameters; third is the parameters that need to be adjusted during the test run.

After the inverter is installed, disconnect the output of the inverter and then switch on the inverter power supply (note that the inverter's calibrated operating supply voltage is in accordance with the external input voltage). According to the parameter definitions, confirm which parameters are set at the factory and the operating conditions. The conditions are in line with, such as the motor rated frequency, input voltage, analog input/output signal type, etc. If these signals are consistent with the working conditions, these parameters can be set without leaving the factory settings.

There are some that need to be preset before the test run, such as: external terminal operation, analog operation, base frequency, maximum frequency, upper limit frequency, lower limit frequency, start time, brake time (and mode), thermal electron protection, over Flow protection, carrier frequency, stall protection and overvoltage protection

There are some parameters in the debugging process, according to the operating conditions to adjust the parameters, such as operating frequency, acceleration time, deceleration time, 1 speed, 2 speed, 3 speed, analog output ratio adjustment

In addition to the above three parameters, there are some parameters that are the inverter's display settings that cannot be set and can be viewed.

Zhou Gong used the LENZE SMD series inverter as an example to explain the parameters in the parameter list one by one to me. Which parameters need not be set, which need to be set before driving the output equipment such as the motor, and which are based on the test run The operating conditions need to be adjusted and powered on to introduce tips for adjusting parameters during commissioning.

For example, the starting time setting principle is suitable for short and not long. It can be set to 1.5~2s/kW. The overcurrent setting value can be appropriately increased and can be increased up to 150%. If the start key *RUN is pressed, the motor stalls. Explain that the load torque is too large, the starting torque is too small, and immediately stop by pressing STOP. The principle of setting the deceleration braking time is not too short. The light-load starting frequency can be set to more than 0, and the heavy-load starting frequency usually starts from 0. The starting torque setting and the starting frequency setting are also the same, which is favorable for acceleration starting, especially when light load is used. The heavy starting load torque value is large, resulting in increased starting current and easier to skip current at low frequency OC Normal starting torque is suitable from 0. Base frequency setting The base frequency standard is 380V at 50Hz, that is, V/F=380/50=7.6. Sometimes the heavy load may start poorly, and when the other parameters cannot be improved, the base frequency may be adjusted. That is to say, the 50Hz set point will be reduced to 30Hz or below. At this time, V/F> 7.6, that is, the output voltage will increase (ie, the torque ∝U2) when the frequency is especially low at the same frequency. The choice of braking methods generally has three types: The energy consumption braking can be selected when the operating frequency is >20Hz; the DC braking is suitable for precise stopping or parking position, and can be used in combination with energy consumption braking, generally when ≤20Hz; Dynamic application ≥ 100kW, speed ratio D ≥ 10, alternating high and low speed or positive and negative rotation, cycle time is also short, in this case, the application of feedback braking, feedback energy up to 20% of the motor power. The load of pumps and fans should be free to brake, and when the rapid braking (such as DC braking) is performed, a serious “water hammer” effect can easily occur.

In the process of carrying out load adjustment, in order to protect the inverter and load equipment, the setting of working frequency should be gradually increased, and pay attention to the operating conditions of the loaded load. The following conditions must be immediately stopped: the motor is not moving, the motor is overheated, and the frequency converter is much The abnormal fault is displayed at the second time, and the load check should be disconnected: 1 The input voltage is normal, 2 The set value is confirmed again (especially for the part related to the start); 3 The output device and the output side of the inverter are connected.
