VR travel video "Unexpected" landing VeeR VR, ten days and ten to experience a different kind of life

Recently, renowned documentary filmmaker Zhao Qi, an award-winning director with accolades including the Emmy, Evans, Golden Horse, Sundance, and Asia-Pacific Film Awards, has made a notable appearance on VeeR VR. His latest project features a series of immersive 360-degree videos, carefully curated from over 100 global topics. Ten of the most thrilling stories were selected, each presented in a six-minute format, making up a total of ten episodes. This innovative approach brings viewers closer to unique experiences that might otherwise remain out of reach. ![Image](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/77/58/a9/e1b45342c4ac8a5e20dde4e494.jpg) **Adventures VR Travel Video** Zhao Qi has always been passionate about emerging technologies. He believes that new technologies, once introduced, gradually reshape existing systems as they evolve. That’s why he chose VR as a powerful medium to tell these stories. Despite the events taking place in remote locations across Europe and the U.S., Zhao hopes users will feel a sense of closeness when watching. The goal is to make distant adventures feel personal and accessible. ![Image](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/7f/78/8b/01756c478b2cf87a1cc0a8647e.jpg) **The Adventures of Hawaii's Aloha** Each story centers around individuals whose lives are both ordinary and extraordinary. One highlights an elderly man who spent 40 years collecting trash to build a “garbage cathedral.” Another follows a local in Iceland who offers a unique Airbnb experience for viewing the Northern Lights. There's also a jazz singer in New Orleans who has kept her family’s musical legacy alive for 60 years, and a diving instructor in Norway who dances with orcas and explores shipwrecks. Using panoramic cameras, Zhao brings viewers into the daily lives of these remarkable people, offering a rare and intimate perspective. ![Image](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/f1/49/19/8c301cfd8c26cd8565eacf479f.jpg) **The Adventure City of Spain** Beyond the compelling narratives, the visual design of the "Voyage" VR series is equally impressive. Dynamic graphics and subtle cues guide the viewer’s attention, while subtitles on both sides ensure no important detail is missed. With the VeeR app, users can now explore these meticulously crafted VR clips and experience life from a completely new angle—without leaving their seat. Despite his extensive background in traditional filmmaking, Zhao admits that working on "The Adventures" was full of challenges. The hardware wasn’t fully developed, and VR filming was still in its infancy, with no established guidelines to follow. But he embraced the role of a pioneer, believing that someone had to take the first step. “These kinds of explorations always require someone to do it,” he said. “And I’m glad it was me.”
