Typically, the temperature of the medium in instrument pipelines should be maintained between 20°C and 80°C, while the ideal temperature inside the instrument incubator is usually kept between 15°C and 20°C. To counteract heat loss from the instrument pipelines, containers, and incubators, proper insulation and heating measures are essential. Currently, there are two main methods for insulation and heating: traditional steam or hot water heating, and electric heat tracing. In recent years, with the advancement of electric heat tracing technology and its numerous advantages, it has gradually become a preferred solution to replace conventional steam and hot water systems.

The steam heating system for an instrument incubator typically consists of a housing, insulating lining material, a transmitter bracket, and a U-shaped steam radiator. For easier maintenance, an observation window is often installed on the door of the housing. Additionally, an opening at the top of the box allows for inserting a bimetallic temperature sensor without removing the cover. On the other hand, electric heating for instrument incubators commonly uses electric heating tubes, while instrument pipelines are usually equipped with electric heating tapes.

Electric heating tubes are made from seamless steel pipes filled with resistance wire and magnesium oxide powder, which ensures efficient heat distribution. This method offers high thermal efficiency, energy savings, simple design, easy installation, no pollution, and a long service life. It also supports remote control and automatic regulation, making it a more modern and sustainable option compared to traditional heating methods. As a result, it is increasingly being adopted across various industries, including manufacturing, mining, and chemical processing.
