Shandong EHV Company to Replace 220K Volt Bus New Protection

In the key phase of the 2011 autumn inspection work of Shandong EHV Company, in order to avoid the impact on the power supply load in Shandong Zibo and Laiwu regions, the 220 kV bus protection was replaced at 500 kV Jinchuan Station, and this set of protection was the first in Shandong Province. Use effectively protects the orderly supply of electricity.

Conducting this work according to the traditional blackout method will result in the blackout of five outlets of the 500 kV Suichuan station, which will have a huge impact on the load supply in the Zibo and Laiwu areas. Shandong EHV Co., Ltd. has paid great attention to this protection and replacement work as early as the beginning of 2011, and began to collect the original design drawings, schematic diagrams, and completion drawings of the previous expansion process six months ahead of schedule, and made every preparation work. Within two months prior to the commencement of the work, the company’s staff in the inspection and change work area had viewed the site twice and carefully checked the cable number head and the direction card of each cable on each core of the old protection screen. Wire cores that are inconsistent with the drawings are carefully marked on the drawings, and are actively connected with the manufacturer's trenches. The external terminal strips of the protection screens are connected according to the actual conditions on the site. Full preparatory work effectively ensures the successful completion of the project.

From November 25th to December 6th, after 12 days, the UHP Company defeated the influence of bad weather such as low-temperature snow and fog, and safely completed the access work of the Sichuan-Chongqing II line and the Chuanfu line. The operation of the new protection has effectively increased the reliability of the equipment and added "new forces" to the safe and stable operation of Shandong's main network.
