The MAX9586–MAX9589 are small, low-power, multi-channel video amplifiers with integrated reconstruction filters and input clamping circuits. It is especially suitable for standard definition video signals and can be widely used in televisions and set-top boxes.
The video signal output from the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) can be AC ​​coupled to the input of the MAX9586–MAX9589. For external video signals with unknown DC offset levels, they can also be AC ​​coupled to the inputs of the MAX9586–MAX9589. The DC level of the mixed video signal and the luminance signal can be set by the input sync clamp circuit, and the DC level of the chroma signal can be set by the input bias circuit.
The reconstruction filter has a flatness of ± 1dB (typical value) in the 8.5MHz passband, and has an attenuation of 55dB at 27MHz. The amplifier gain is 2V / V, and its output can be DC coupled to a 75Ω load (equivalent to two video loads) or AC coupled to a 150Ω load.
The MAX9586–MAX9589 operate from a single 2.7V to 3.6V power supply and can operate in the automotive temperature range of -40 ° C to + 125 ° C. The MAX9586–MAX9589 are available in small SOT23 and µMAX® packages.
