Huaxin Group actively participates in new energy businesses such as solar energy, micro-optical electromechanical and LED. The company is aiming at the business opportunity of launching the ten-city Wanhao LED lighting plan in mainland China. It initially invested US$52 million to set up Xi'an Huaxin United Technologies to produce LED chips and modules in the mainland. The factory recently commissioned China Airlines to ship the machine. It is expected to be installed at the end of 2010. It will be mass-produced in the first half of 2011 and will be supplied to mainland manufacturers.
Huaxin said that the company has been investing in micro-optical electromechanical research and development since more than 10 years ago. It has already launched products such as light source, low-light machine and micro-projection. In March 2010, it also signed a three-year micro-integrated light source cooperation agreement with KAAI of the United States. In the next year or more, the sample development will be completed. KAAI will provide CW gallium nitride green laser for chips and new materials. Huaxin will integrate red, blue and green integrated light sources, combined optical machines and packages, and micro-projections for mass production in the future. The machine can be used on mobile phones and laptops.
Huaxin Micro-Opco Electromechanical Division's revenue in 2010 was RMB 340 million. The 2011 results will be expanded by the development of micro-optical electromechanical foundry, micro-projection, micro-optical machine, LED packaging and lighting products, with multiple kinetic energy.
