1, the basic concept of lighting optics
Illumination optics belong to non-imaging optics. They are designed by distributing the direction and intensity of light energy, and are converted into the illumination area or brightness of the illuminated area to finally meet the lighting visual needs.

2, lighting optical classification
The illumination optics are mainly divided into transmissive optics and reflective optics. The optics is mainly used as a medium for transparent medium to condense and reflect light to obtain the purpose of controlling the direction of light. The panel control is a transmission optics.
The reflection optics mainly uses a specular or diffuse reflection surface as a medium to emit light in the form of reflection, thereby obtaining the purpose of light control.

Optical analysis:
The transmission optics of illumination, mostly in the form of a lens, achieves light distribution by mixing of refraction and reflection. Using the law of conservation of energy, redistributing the distribution of light intensity, changing the direction and size of the light to achieve various lighting methods.
The design based on the brightness target is relatively complicated. The free-form surface medium not only needs to change the light intensity, but also considers the material whose light intensity reaches the illuminated area, that is, the degree of reflection, and also considers the direction of human visual observation, and integrates these terminals. 3. Comparison of transmission optics and reflection optics
1) Light extraction efficiency: In perfect case, the reflective optical energy is higher than that of transmission optics. 2) Light control capability: For small volume light sources such as LEDs, the transmittance is stronger than that of reflective light control.
3) Material requirements: Transmission light control has high purity requirements for media, easy to appear dispersion or color change; weather resistance is relatively poor; in reflective light control, specular reflection is prone to aperture phenomenon, irregular or fish scale and other high-end reflective surface Design and manufacture are relatively difficult and the effect will be better than the mirror.
4) Others: The light-transmitting lens has a protective effect on the LED itself; the lens is small in size due to both transmission, refraction and reflection; the reflector-reflecting reflector is open-type, requiring additional measures to protect the LED.
