Foxconn 100 Million To Build Factory Trump Excited: U.S. Prosperity Is Just Before It

On July 27, Foxconn Technology Group made headlines when it announced on the 26th that it plans to invest $10 billion over the next four years to build an LCD panel production facility in Wisconsin. This marks the biggest single foreign investment in U.S. history, promising to create 3,000 new jobs in Wisconsin and potentially impacting up to 13,000 individuals. It’s seen as a pivotal moment for Foxconn as it ventures into American manufacturing. The announcement was celebrated at a ceremony on the East Side of the White House, attended by U.S. President Donald Trump and Foxconn's founder and president, Terry Gou. Trump expressed his excitement, stating, “This is a great day for American manufacturing, workers, and everyone who believes in ‘Made in America.’ The success of companies like Foxconn highlights the unparalleled skills of American workers and the boundless potential of the American Dream. Prosperity is within our grasp.” Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker echoed this enthusiasm, calling it “a once-in-a-century opportunity” not only for Wisconsin but for the entire nation. He remarked, “We’re calling it ‘Wisconn Valley’ because we envision this investment transforming Wisconsin in much the same way Silicon Valley transformed the San Francisco Bay Area. Foxconn’s arrival will usher in advanced manufacturing technologies to the U.S., and Wisconsin will play a key role in this transformation. We’re grateful to Foxconn and Mr. Gou for choosing our state.” The new LCD panel factory will be constructed in southeastern Wisconsin, with details about the exact location set to be released soon. The panels produced here will find applications across a wide range of high-tech sectors, from cutting-edge TVs and autonomous vehicles to flight systems, smart education tools, entertainment platforms, healthcare solutions, advanced manufacturing systems, office automation, interactive retail environments, and more. These innovations will directly impact consumer lifestyles. Terry Gou shared his excitement during the event, saying, “It’s a privilege to construct such a state-of-the-art panel plant in the heart of the U.S. as the first step in our ambitious plan to build an 8K+5G ecosystem here. I want to express my gratitude to President Trump, Governor Walker, and the U.S. Innovation Office for their invaluable support. Wisconsin’s skilled workforce and rich industrial heritage have created extraordinary opportunities for us.” As the project progresses, it is expected to further solidify Foxconn’s presence in the U.S. market while contributing significantly to Wisconsin’s economic landscape.
